To strike a balance and to improve the perception of depth in the dwelling, the architects chose to modify the openings between rooms and to establish a diffuse higher plane which would act as a visual reference throughout the dwelling. For this, they concealed the different ceiling heights using agriculture netting hanging from the beams. In this intermediate space between the ceiling and the netting they installed uplighting to enhance the atmosphere created by paper lanterns in traditional dwellings.
