Boven Bouw. House extension. Mortsel. Belgium
December 11, 2013
This house extension is not an annex to the existing building, it is actually a second house. The second house is a duplicate image, a Siamese twin. On the outside it is also brick-built and it has a a gabled roof, living area, several bedrooms, a fireplace and a staircase. The joint between these two houses is marked by a fold on the facade which creates a turning point half-way down this alley linking the house to the garden. A triangular space is created, a small terrace with direct access from the kitchen.
