De Vylder Vinck Taillieu. House Lossy. Ghent. Belgium
December 12, 2013
One of the most radical actions in this project was to take the roof off the kitchen of the former dwelling to build a rectangular courtyard. The new programme incorporates a sauna which faces onto the new open courtyard in the large volume of the main dwelling. The courtyard walls have been stripped of all cladding and the rough brickwork which was not meant to be visible has been left bare. The new elements are made from large red-bricks to differentiate them.
