Rural Studio. Lions Park. Greensboro. USA

Rural Studio is an educational project which through citizen participation and self-building aims to instill in future architects the need to give back to the community the skills acquired. Greensboro, Alabama had a park for the young people to do sports. However, the local residents were aware of the fact that its original layout needed improving and so they got in touch with Rural Studio to draw up a renovation project. The outcome is a result of work by the students at Auburn University who planned and implemented the four phases of the works.
