The new water treatment plant recovers the visual, hydrological and ecological links which were lost when the first facilities were opened in 1989. The structure recreates the original landscape of the area and tries to bridge the gap produced by the numerous infrastructures which make their presence felt. The roof is a thick living layer which contains both the water treatment facilities and the offices of the company which manages them. This layer is opened up to allow for the circulation elements, the ventilation and daylight to be brought to the interior of the plant. The exterior accesses are passageways closed off by concrete walls or glazing.
