The Home Building project by Hamonic + Masson and Comte Vollenweider celebrates the changes in planning regulations prohibiting high-rise buildings in Paris city centre. This is the first residential building completed since the new 2011 regulations, which established a 50 m limit on high-rise building within the city, came into force. This is not really high-rise but medium-rise construction; 15 storeys + ground floor is the average height of these two towers. Nevertheless, the floor area ratio is highdensity, not only due to the floor area but also to the high number of dwellings.
