Atlanta Beltline. Perkins + Will. United States

February 14, 2014

Atlanta Beltline. Perkins + Will. United States

The design to transform the Atlanta railroad corridor into a landscape generating infrastructures establishes a continuous identity for the whole project by using uniform solutions for the tram stops, pedestrian paths, accesses, urban furniture and signage. In contrast, the many landscape scenarios, the different social and historical contexts and a public art programme ensure the variety of the planned scenarios. These scenarios are the consequence of adding five layers to that existing: renovated landscape, connectivity, traffic flow, a strengthened ecosystem and finance operations.
