This project is located on a lot in the medieval area of Riga. The proposed solution takes on the idea of sloped roofs, part of the medieval surroundings included in the lists of UNESCO. Instead of a strict imitation of the shapes of the past, the project is based on the reinterpretation of scale and environment in the historical context. Businesses on street level and offices on the first floor are included in the programme. The coexistence of public and private is resolved by means of public circulation entering businesses (internalised on the lot on ground level) and a garden passage for residents and users of first floor offices.
