The cities of the Sun Belt, headed by Phoenix and Austin, absorb a great part of the migration flow, both from the Rio Grande and from the declining industrial North. Phoenix has decided to reactivate the existing fabric in order to compensate the unlimited growth: not just housebuilding but also improvements to public transport and the construction of collective spaces adapted to the harsh local climate.
