The documentary investigates how twentieth century’s modernist principles shaped the everyday life of urban dwellers, and what is their heritage in a global urbanization perspective. The Narkomfin building exemplifies in it the different ways of living that the Soviet Socialist State proposed.
The book 10 Stories of Collective Housing confirms this through a chapter of 50 pages entitled The Sinking of the Social Condenser devoted to the analysis of the Narkomfin building.
