Ten years ago an ambitious regeneration programme for the Emile Chaîne area was set up. In total 117 social dwellings, 15 artists workshops, 7 business premises and a civic and sports centre have been built. Among the premises of the plan was to maintain the atmosphere of the neighbourhood, to respect the scales and the original materials and the contribution of a real social and programmatic mix to avoid gentrification. Respecting these principles, each new building is built with its own language and its own materials.

In Density is Home, we include the three most recent housing developments, completed in 2010, out of a total of 9 projects planned for the area.
