McGregor Coxall. BP Park. Sydney. Australia.

August 30, 2012

McGregor Coxall. BP Park. Sydney. Australia.

The Former BP Park is emblematic of the intention to reclaim the harbour foreshore for the public, while recognising the importance of retaining a site’s heritage. Once housing 31 oil tanks, offices and massive concrete perimeter bund walls to prevent oil spills reaching the harbour, the redeveloped site now acknowledges its former use through the restrained composition of simple, yet robust structures.
