Multicultural furniture. Superkilen. BIG, Topotek1, Superflex. Copenhagen. Denmark

All the furniture objects in this project were brought in from different countries and function as a set of elements which invite the users to let themselves be transported to other places. Instead of imposing a purely Danish design they become a showcase for other cultures in a neighbourhood where some 60 nationalities coexist. This helps to create a feeling of belonging among a highly diverse population.

Superkilen, by BIG, Topotek1 and Superflex was published in a+t magazine number 38, entitled Strategy and Tactics in Public Space.
