KARO Architekten. Open air library. Magdeburg. Germany

The disappearance of the german Democratic republic in 989 meant a change to the productive model from which many cities have not yet recovered. The project attempts to lend some hope to one of these cities abandoned after the disappearance of the former industrial fabric. The effort and the involvement of the citizens have allowed this community library, which serves as an icon for the new era now beginning, to be built.
