Lobres depends on the nearby town of Salobreña, where most of the facilities and municipal services are located. The new public swimming pool is built on a site in the town centre and will take over from the town square when the sun gets hot in the summer months. Furthermore, the space is conceived as a meeting point not just in the summer period and to link the municipal gymnasium, hence connecting up the network of public facilities.
