The project has taken place in a very dense urban setting of great heritage value. The programme rounds off an extremely old housing block built with heavy wooden structural elements, not far from Troyes Cathedral. This is a sector of the old town which is undergoing transformation: the housing blocks built in the 70s in the surroundings are being knocked down while a new university campus is being constructed nearby.
