The residential building relates to various scales, reasoning on the evolution of the ways to live and their relationship with the landscape. The great occasion for the construction of a new city park and a public waterfront along the Dock is at the base of the planning. The design is supported by a series of parallels strips: the new walkway along the water, the park, and the new street. The clarity of the typological system is the best guarantee of this ability to convert the general scale of the city into the intimate one of daily life. The disposition of volumes, which follows the setting of the new city design, responds to the long view towards the city, the sea and constructs a courtyard opened towards the new park.

The higher volume is located at the northern side of the site, next to the new waterfront, and maximizes the good exposure of the apartments. The lower body folds to embrace the central space between the two buildings. An ‘inhabited bridge’ connects the two buildings, unifying the silhouette towards the water and creating one large loggia opened on the new walkway.
