Two pages from the book 10 Stories of Collective Housing , by a+t research group
Ralph Erskine set up his office in the area in the style of a local shop. He welcomed the future users, spoke to them about their concerns and wishes... He got involved and supported them against the developers. It was a participatory process, full of good intentions.
