The project proposes a temporary public space while Berlin is rewriting its history. The construction of a new multi-use complex, which will erase the footprint of an uncomfortable past, is planned on the remains of the former Parliament of the ex-German Democratic Republic. The project has been adapted to its ephemeral nature in terms of fi nance, materials and space and it offers an undetermined and fl exible area which allows one to read, albeit for a short while, the traces of history.
