Optimistic Architecture Yearbook 08
April 02, 2009
2008 sees the publication of the second edition of the Optimistic Yearbook. Whereas the 2007 edition was produced on a whim, the 2008 opus follows a very busy year for French Touch, who were invited to design the French Pavillion at the 11th Architecure Biennale in Venice.
Our collective is made up for 16 firms wchich are active in the areas of architectural production and debate, and whose members get together to talk about French Architecture and encourage others to do the same. For this second edition of the Optimistic Yearbook we have selected 61 projects completed in 2008 by 55 firms. Our selection represents an ambitious set of buildings that address important issues relating to planning, context abd tge expression of sustainable development via high.quality, inventive contemporary architecture.
