José Antonio Martínez Lapeña & Elías Torres. Hercules Mall. Seville. Spain
January 05, 2012
This space in the historic centre of Seville has been remodelleded in a single approach, incorporating neighbour and municipal requests. One single paving coloured according to the Seville soil brings together the entire space without any sharp level change. The intervention is camouflaged between the trees and the setting is regenerated, discretely, reinterpreting that already existent. Simultaneously, 500 m away, the Plaza de la Encarnación has also been remodelled, inviting round a new upstairs neighbour, who managed to move in with a bit of a racket after a complicated move, but who, despite the hard work, forgot all about the surface area of the square and the users who would still cross it.
