History of a project
November 12, 2012
The -ever-growing- debate concerning the current role of the architect can only be understood by analysing a complex reality where the authors form part of the continual flow of actions. The designer interacts in an extended environment, outside the limits of their studio and often outside the limits of their discipline. The history of a project is the history of its actors or agents and this is why a+t magazine dedicates a chapter to them, entitled 'Agents', in the issue Reclaim.
The main decisions adopted throughout each project and the agents responsible for them are identified in it. The aim is to decipher whether the initiatives come from the base (Bottom) or from the institutions (Top) and how the architects act in each timeline.
Reclaim dedicates 26 pages to the analysis of the history of 39 projects.
Two of the pages dedicated to the history of the actors or agents of 3 projects, shown in 3 time lines.
