A rotund block has been inserted into a plot surrounded by different settings: an industrial estate and a motorway to the east, farmland to the north and an area of detached houses to the south-west. The new building is a linear block with two main facades which rejects the logic that each situation demands a different response. Instead of creating one facade at the front and another at the back, the volume is enclosed with a facade which is exactly the same on both sides.
