We promote means of transport co-existing together in the public space in our cities and the integration of sustainable mobility into the everyday space. The cycle way in Lisboa forms part of an ambitious urban plan for cycle paths. This route connects the centre up with the local train, the ferry port and several historical enclaves. The operation is very simple and the budget is very low: an asphalt strip runs through different places and integrates the existing pavings where they can be preserved. Painting the surface areas becomes a thread linking the whole operation and clearly separates the pedestrian flux from the cycling flux.
