This project emerged from the communion between the wide range of public and private interests which had their sights set on this traffic island in Times Square. The generous financing from different groups has allowed this sophisticated state of the art, in terms of technology and materials, facility to be erected. The public are no longer mere passers-by: now they can both observe and feel that they are part of the show.
