Machado and Silvetti Associates. Hassayampa Academic Village. Tempe. Arizona
January 28, 2010
Arizona State University has several campuses in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Hassayampa occupies the south-east sector of the Tempe campus and includes accommodation for 1900 students, lecture halls, dining areas and stores.
The program is organized around five colour-coded privately accessed courtyards. Aside from this, the rest of the facades to the network of public links are uniform, and display meticulous glasswork, aluminium metalwork and concrete blocks of different sizes and tones.
