FORM&DATA. An anatomical review of collective housing buildings

a-lab. The Carve. Oslo. Norway 2014

FORM&DATA, the new publication within the Density series, includes an anatomical review of 20 collective housing projects, which gives an insight into the real relationship between form and internal organs and to finds the true location of the soul of each building.

Using purpose-made drawings and colour coding a+t research group identifies the elements comprising the hard performances in each project. In the case of The Carve (top image) by architects a-lab: envelope, stairs, access, lifts, public and shared spaces, and private terraces.
