The building was built in the period between the wars and was a working warehouse and distribution centre until the 1970s. In 1990 it was converted into offices. The original metal support structure remained intact as did the sawtooth glazed roof. The work involved simplifying the already refurbished building spaces so as to outline their aesthetic and functional qualities. The interior geometry imposed by the layout of the structural grid has been respected and the space has been divided up using glazed aluminium partitions.
