We note a tendency towards the defence and recovery of this territory from the public
sphere. As opposed to the short-term interests of mass construction, the public eye sets its long-term sights on the conservation of the environment or the historical heritage. In this sense the El Hornillo project serves as an effi cient barrier against the attacks of real estate on the Murcia coastline.
The restored railways of the mining train defi ne the park’s structure.
