Converting a former carpentry workshop into an Arts Centre required a flexible division of space and the adaptation of the facade to its new representative character. The low-budget build recommended an intervention based on HVAC retrofitting and a programme of uses.
The idea of reincorporating into the site materials originally built there meant conceiving a construction system based on a timber framework able to take in enclosures and partition walls.
