This project was launched as a result of the aim of several collectives to revitalize markets as vital hubs in neighbourhoods while also finding a space in which to carry out collaborative work. They chose one of the vacant stalls in San Fernando Market in Lavapiés, Madrid. The work was based on reusing materials and furniture and on participation and self-building by future users. On sourcing the reclaimed materials both the proximity and the life cycle of each material were taken into consideration.
