The restoration of the Atlantic side of Vila do Conde consists of rezoning all of the public space of the Avenida Marginal from the city limits to the north all the way to the chapel of Our Lady of Guía to the south, including the lands of the fort of St John the Baptist. This includes the redesigning of roads which created a barrier between the city and the sea until now. The project for the southern sector, which is shown here, was designed in coordination with that of the northern sector, a project by Alcino Soutinho.
