The recycling process involves transforming the material, through an industrial process, to convert it into a new raw material. Unlike re-using, recycling is carried out off-site and depends on an external production source. The recycled elements are combined to obtain a product which not only contributes to a more sustainable life cycle but also enhances the properties of traditional surfaces.
The space on the ramp and the stands are surfaced with a material made from wood and plastic fibres. The wood comes from sawmill waste and storage pallets and the plastic comes from recycled bags. The plastic protects the wood from damp and insects and the woodprotects the plastics from the sun’s rays.
