It is not necessary for the rest area in a public space to be a leisure area for it to become an experience. It is enough to deliver the opportunity to go up to a higher level and observe the setting, to transfer an unexpected piece of landscape, to produce the effect of a microclimate or to propose activities. Consuming experiences is on our list of requirements and public space will be appealing insofar as it is able to induce these experiences.
The project is an adaptation based on the winning project for a children’s competition. Three oval-shaped enclosures alternate different effects: waterlogging, water jets and water sprays. Each area of water and each effect has its own working sequence. The times for each effect can be set according to the time of year.
