The new infrastructure crosses the southern half of the city and the public spaces which run alongside have been redesigned. following an approach which treats the downtown area and the outskirts the same way, pedestrians, cyclists, cars and public transport have all been integrated.
Tram stops along the route protect from the intense sun and winds inherent to the city’s climate, integrating all installations into their structure (lights, traffic lights, street lighting and telecommunications), freeing the new platform from visual noise.
The tram stops have a green roof which minimizes the run-off. They adapt to Saragossa’s harsh climate. The tram stops generate shade and protect from the wind.
