The fabric of the consolidated city requires operations at strategic points in order for it to maintain its appeal. These interventions are more affordable than large refurbishment projects and can be implemented independently until in time they come together to form a tightly woven network of linked spaces.
The new roof transforms the site into an urban lounge acting as anteroom for the theatre as well. The roof massiveness, jointly with the cantilevered staircases and the garden in front, dignify a formerly residual space.
