Franco, Sentkiewicz. Kroken Park. Tromso. Norway
Patricia García - July 16, 2012. 09:25

The area between the Krokensenteret building, in the south and, the School building, in the north, is currently occupied by a rather small birch forest crossed by a muddy path with no clear urban role. Its topography presents a roughly homogeneous slope that grows higher from northwest to southeast with a total height variance of approximately 7 m. Due to new investments coming into the neighbourhood, a new plan was elaborated in order to organize these forces and create a wholly structure for the new situation: the new Kroken Centre. The birch forest area suddenly becomes vital for the new urban scheme of the Neighbourhood due to its position, connecting the main public facilities.
