The area known as Punta de San García is located on the southwest end of the Bay of Algeciras, open to the Strait of Gibraltar. This is an elevated cape over sea level which creates cliffs around the entire perimeter and that make up the Natural Park of the Strait, given the biological quality of this strip of coast. The dominating determining winds in the area have created specific landscape of brush and palmettos. The winds, though not distinguishable physical elements of the landscape, make up an important part of the experience of the area with their smell, their sound or their touch.
