The upper gallery of an abandoned 1960s grain silo is the space where this project was undertaken. A 40 m long x 6.5 m wide unit was converted to an architectural studio located 38 m above the ground. By creating openings on the facade and making the most of the original materials the outcome was a setting with the appearance of an industrial shell into which less imposing elements could be inserted, such as the wooden crates which support the mezzanine level with the library, the desks, and .

Tulou is a dwelling type unique to the Hakka people. It is a communal residence between the city and the countryside, integrating living, storage, shopping, spiritual, and public entertainment into one single building entity.
